Total Honesty at Krudmart

Krudmart

My man Steve K runs an online fashion shop called Krudmart. In this profile posting, he bares it all and talks about living with his parents, stocking his merch on shelves from Home Depot, and trying to make it on his own. His spirt of entrepreneurship is so powerful, that we’re completely stunned. And for the record, we know a lot about his situation. How could you NOT buy a shirt from this man?

Wil Wheaton : Champion Photoblogger

Wil Wheaton\'s Photo Blog

You might know him as the nerdy-but-lovable Wesley Crusher from Star Trek, The Next Generation. Far from being washed up, Wil Wheaton is now an aggressive member of the blogging community. Don’t believe me? Check it for yourself. It’s rock and roll - you’ll see.

Cross Process at Home

Tuesday, September 27th, 2005

Everyone loves cross processing, a.k.a. developing slides with negative processing and vice versa.
The colors get all twisted, the contrast goes through the roof, and everything generally looks crazy.
It’s a tried and true method for amateurs and pros alike. Ever want to give it a try at home? The infamous Deviant Mag has your back.

Marc Jacobs Loves Lil Kim

Marc Jacobs Loves Lil Kim

Don’t we all. 20 bucks buys you a real Marc Jacobs t-shirt emblazoned with a special print of this saucy lady. All the proceeds go to support The Door - a charity that helps young people in crisis.
This is just another step in Kim’s legendary history of giving back to the community. The past few years have seen her donating massive financial support to the global charities of Versace, Prada, Gucci, and Chanel (just to name a few). Just kidding - we love her! Kind of.

How To :: Appear in a Hipster Photoblog

Hipster Photoblog

Well, I’m reading this clever satire on trendy photoblogs of young people and laughing at it when all of a sudden I realize that it’s hitting close to home and I’m all like “HEY!”

But then I realized that no matter how much I go out, no one is inviting me to any events on the sheer scale of half-nude debauchery exhibited by the photoblogs in question. In fact, people are pretty much uniformly clothed everywhere I go. Whew - the power of dullness helped me to dodge that bitingly sarcastic bullet!

Sister Glenda Doll

Sister Glenda Doll

Really, you should only download the Ebay “most watched items” report at your own risk. Today, you’ll find this charming item within its ranks. It’s more than just a doll you’re bidding on - this has a bona-fide ghost inside to discipline your children. But, it’s on some now-you-see-me-now-you-don’t as the description will attest: the strange thing about this doll is that she reveals herself ONLY TO DISOBEDIENT CHILDREN! Put her in the same room with an unruly child, and we guarantee THAT CHILD WILL BEHAVE INSTANTLY.
Okaaaay. There’s only one day left so bid now.

Crumpler has Landed

Tuesday, September 20th, 2005

With our hearts all a-flutter, we’re thrilled to present our new collection of photo and casual bags from the legendary Crumpler company of Australia. Famous back home for both their excellent designs and their seemingly endless appetite for beer, Crumpler is relatively new to the States and seriously ready to blow up. These bags are rugged, stylish, and tough enough to be passed onto your grandchildren. No joke!

Need a little Crump in your groove? Don’t hold back - because for one week only, we’re offering FREE SHIPPING to all of our valued Flavorphoto customers
(USA only). To get it, just order through our shop and select “Crumpler Promo” as your shipping option. And the best news is — you can add in as much other
stuff as you like. Lomo cameras, Naneu pro bags, lenses, & animation kits, whatever — you’ll get FREE SHIPPING as long as one Crumpler item is in the order. How ’bout that. Please note, this offer is only valid within the continental United States. For international customers, standard shipping rates will apply.

This offer will expire at 11:00 PM EST on Thursday, September 29.

Streetsy

Streetsy

Josh Dobkin of Gothamist and NYCPhotoblogger fame has a new website entitled Streetsy. Updated all day, every day - it’s goal is to create the largest curated street art photo site in the world. If the images look kinda raw, it’s because they’re mostly shot with celluar phones. Check it out and take warning: it’s strangely addictive.

Irak NYC

Irak NYC

Tired of nice and polite graffiti artists who do gallery shows and screenprint t-shirts? Need a little more chaotic violence, wanton vandalism, and sexual ambiguity? Look no further than NYC’s infamous IRAK crew, which includes photog-wunderkind Ryan McGinley. Take a tour of their Fotolog to see a sample of their work. Or, if your tolerance of profanity and somewhat questionable writing skills runs pretty high, then read up on them at Vice Magazine.

Jonathan Mannion

As much love as we have for street, hardcore, and documentary photography, it’s good to see the occassional mainstream guy with mad technique who shoots people like N’sync for publications like TV guide. Check out Jonathan Mannion’s site, and you’ll see a fat collection of iconic music and celeb pictures that will definitely ring a bell.
